Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate 7 at IFA, Berlin 2014 last week. The 6 inch phablet from the Chinese company was one of the most talked about launch of the IFA. Striking a close resemblance to HTC One (M8), the phone has 83% screen-to-body ratio, 2.9mm narrow bezel. It measures 7.9 mm thick and weighs 182 grams.

Huawei sports a giant 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen with in-cell LTPS display and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has a Japan Display IPS-NEO panel, which is supposed to consume less power, but retain a high contrast level for a striking visual experience.
The phone has a solid build and is powered by Octa-Core (4×1.8GHz + 4×1.3GHz) Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor based on 8+1 architecture with 230MHz micro core smart sensor for perpetual standby. It runs on Android 4.4 with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.0.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 has 13MP camera with, F2.0 aperture, Sony Sensor, 5-element lens LED flash. Present below the camera is highly sensitive fingerprint sensor that Huawei has made by partnering Swedish FCP company. A user can unlock their phone by simply putting a finger on the scanner due to the added RF sensor.
